Book of Mormon Tour Day 1

Early morning. Rising long before the sun comes up to get to the airport on time.  Stayed with Dennis who took us to the airport at 3.00 am for our 6.00 flight.   Made it to the Dallas, Texas airport with just enough time to hustle to catch our connecting flight to Tallahassee, Florida.  We knew Rod Meldrum, the tour leader and spent the whole time in the air guessing which passengers were with the tour.  We guessed right on the ones that talked to Rod.  Landing in Florida gave us more clues of who was on the tour as people got their luggage and circled around Rod.  Howard’s bag had one set of wheels hanging off the suitcase but we  realized as we watched the bus pull up and people start to get on that we didn’t have time to put a claim in.  Sitting on the bus with people we didn’t know was a little uncomfortable.  We rode to the beach and all got out and climbed up a tower and crowded onto the platform and listened to Rod talk about the possibly of Lewis ship landing somewhere around here, or maybe on Clearwater beach or what may be called Turtle Island,  we then had time to walk around and explore the peninsula and lighthouse.  We were all hungry and tired when we finally arrived at the hotel and checked into our rooms, which were very nice,   Wasn’t hard to fall asleep after getting some food.  Was told to have suitcases on the bus by 7.30 and leave at 8.00 next morning.
